About Givv

Givv is a social platform for tracking and sharing philanthropic engagement. Givv is not a registered nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization, or financial institution. Givv does not provide tax, legal, or financial advice.

Donations & Tax Receipts

All donations made through Givv are processed by Every.org, a registered 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN: 61-1913297). Every.org is the legal recipient of your charitable contribution and issues all tax-deductible receipts.

Givv facilitates the connection between donors and nonprofits but does not receive, hold, or distribute any donated funds. Your tax receipt will come from Every.org, not Givv.

No Tax or Financial Advice

Nothing on Givv constitutes tax, legal, or financial advice. Consult a qualified professional regarding the tax deductibility of your donations or any financial decisions. Givv makes no representations about the tax treatment of any donation.

University Affiliation

Givv is built for the Tulane University community. Givv is an independent project and is not officially affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Tulane University. You must be at least 13 years old to use Givv.

Impact Scores & Engagement Levels

Givv displays impact scores, engagement levels, giving streaks, and other metrics based on your activity within the platform. These metrics are calculated by Givv and reflect platform engagement, not an official measure of charitable impact. They should not be interpreted as endorsements or certifications.

Nonprofit Information

Nonprofit profiles, descriptions, and campaign information displayed on Givv are sourced from Every.org and publicly available data. Givv does not independently verify the accuracy of nonprofit descriptions or campaign claims. Users should conduct their own research before donating.

Squads & Social Features

Squads and social features are community-driven. Public squads (such as organization-named squads) do not imply endorsement by or affiliation with those organizations.

Community Rules & Zero Tolerance

Givv has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Do not post content that is hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, violent, defamatory, or illegal, and do not impersonate others or post spam. You can report any comment, post, squad, campaign, or user from within the app, and you can block any user.

We review reports within 24 hours. We remove content that breaks these rules and suspend or permanently ban the accounts that posted it. Blocking a user also notifies the Givv team.

Limitation of Liability

Givv is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Givv and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. This includes but is not limited to issues with donation processing (handled by Every.org), data accuracy, or service availability.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Givv after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
